Joel McDonald is a voice actor and director with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He started at Funimation and in his 11 years there, he worked as a producer, adaptive scriptwriter, and director for shows like One Piece, Space Dandy, and Sgt. Frog. He also appeared in well over 100 titles, including Space Dandy (Meow), Panty and Stocking (Brief), Initial D (Takumi), Sekirei (Minato), Baccano! (Jacuzzi Splot), Black Butler (Ronald Knox), One Piece (Kuma), and My Hero Academia (Aoyama). Joel then moved on to become Gearbox Software’s first VOverlord, overseeing casting and directing for Gearbox titles like Borderlands 3, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and all accompanying DLCs and post-launch content.
