Stay Healthy and Up to Date

COVID-19 Information and Resources

PopCon understands that while many are excited about our in-person event this year, others rightfully have concerns. Indianapolis and Marion County currently have no restrictions on attendance quantity, masks, or vaccine status. That being said, we will be following the prevailing “best practices” at the time of the event, including any existing standards and mandates. Masks are recommended but not required. Our ultimate goal is everyone be and stay safe.  The following information about our event space specifically is also important to note:

  • The Indiana Convention Center has hosted a myriad of events since the pandemic under strict health and safety protocols, much like PopCon will be implementing.
  • The building has a proven track record of safely and successfully hosting these events without any known COVID cases and PopCon will be in line with these safety mandates.
  • The Indiana Convention Center has poured in $7 million in infrastructure upgrades including extra hand sanitizer stations, a Clorox-360 cleaning process, as well as a hospital grade air filtration system.
  • The Indiana Convention Center even received the highest certification with a Global Biorisk Accreditation (GBAC) and was named by Exhibitor Magazine as a “Center For Excellence” for these swift safety upgrades. Additionally, they received the National Air Filtration Association’s 2020 Clean Air Award for demonstrating leadership and excellence in air filtration.
  • PopCon Indy has been and will continue to work closely with Visit Indy, the Indiana Convention Center, and Marion County Public Health Department to ensure all safety protocols are met in accordance to where we are at with the pandemic come event time.
